Week 7 is here

This is it....getting to the business part of the semester now. Last week was good we all seem to be charging towards the completion of the project.

One thing that did get on my nerves last week was that everyone was stressing the issue about meeting deadlines, which is all well and good. So I finished the revised doc that i was assigned and then at the last minute some of the guys tell us, we'll just hand it to Dave next week?????
This really annoyed me as I had already finished it and had put in the effort to ensure it was done. With that said if that's is the only issue, that's fine.

On a positive note the project is well on the way to being completed, from what I've heard from friends and their projects we seem to be doing a lot better than most.

I think that the group dynamics have really come together this past few weeks, people know what their roles are and what they're supposed to be doing, and most importantly we're getting it done.

All the first round of assignments have been done for other subjects and I am in a really good place regarding school work, hopefully I can keep it up.

That's all for now

Week 6 -Getting There

Well.......

I have had a lot of stuff to do this past week, 3 assignments all up, but I got them done and was very happy with all of them.

As for IE my job was to do the revised standards and Governance Doc which I will be giving to Dave today for him to look over and give any recommendations or additions. All in all the team is going well..........as far as I know........

I think I've figured Steve out though, the problem is that if he doesn't know how to do something it's always someone else's fault (Myself, Paul, Janet). He seems to need a scapegoat for all his shortcoming's. I would have a lot more respect for him if he was to say "I've bitten off more than I can chew, can someone give me a hand".

All I know is that I've always done what I've been asked to do, so i can sleep well at night.

Thats all for now

Start of Week 4

I really need to get this off my chest, i just got back from todays studio and some group members are acting like children. If you ask someone a question regarding the project, You'd expect an answer, not some smartarse comment which is uncalled for.

Firstly one thing that people should know about me is that i cant stand 2 faced people, nice to your face and bitching behind your back not the way i am, never have been and never will be. Just want to take this weeks opportunity, so that people can hear my piece, undoubtedly others have blogged with their views now here's mine.

Called both dino and steve after we had meeting about the team. LIKE A MAN told them exactly what i thought. Told the guys if theresa problem address it immediately, dont let it blow up.If your not happy with something say it there and then. Have the balls to do that at least, dont be a coward and bitch behind peoples backs like teenage girls in a school yard.

Steve is constantly acting like a spoilt child. GROW UP. Adding "oh yeah, i know that" after someone says something, when you clearly didnt, makes you an expert on nothing at all! Steves quote of the day today "Nah, the work was good, I'm just trying to stir things".

Dino's "cant be bothered, its my day off" in relation to client meetings, just not good eneough in my opinion. The thing that really got on my nerves however is this.If your the project manager act like it if your not happy with the standard of work saysometing, dont bitch about it to other group members, approach people like a MAN and tell them. Bitching to others isnt going to solve anything mate. How would i know if theres anything wrong with the work i give you when all you say is "thats good" with a smile on your face when you take it from me.

Another thing is meetings when its convenient for them and only them (Dino and Steve). Then having the ordasidy to criticise others when they/i cant make the meeting, c'mon fairs fair.

Jason's sitting by with his 2 cents (hesitatingly "y..y...yeah try that????" when you clearly have no idea what your talking about) isnt my idea of work. I could do that to, but i'm not a bull**** artist!

Constantly criticising Paul treating him like a dumbass, how is that going to motivate the guy?

Me and Paul did the whole test plan, after a meeting about teamwork! how does that work? And now have been assigned to do another doc which no-one intends on helping with. Doesnt bother me Paul and i are more than equal to the task. Asking for input from others was like you asked them for their last dollar ("yeah, just do this" or "I dunno"). Didnt matter though we did a pretty good job if i must say so, Paul and I that is!

Week 4 Already

Well what happened last week, Paul and I finished the test plan for the project and thats about all really, seems to have been a slow week for most of the group. Still a bit unhappy about the way some of the group go about "management" tasks. That is if your not happy about something tell the person, dont go bitching about it behind peoples backs, thats not going to achieve anything. People wont know if things arent up to scratch if you dont tell them.

All the other subjects are going well and i look forward to completing the project, which we seem well on the way to doing.

All in all things are going well, just waiting for the first round of assignments :o(

Thats all for now......probably add another blog later in the week.
